To Thy Self Be True: Happy Valentine’s Day

Traditionally today is a day that we send cards as tokens of love to our partners, family and friends. It gives us the opportunity to express appreciation and gratitude to those we love. As busy working women juggling home schooling, chores and looking after elderly relatives during the pandemic, it has been hard to give ourselves the gift of time and headspace to think about what our heart desires for our life.

Getting into the habit of journaling on paper or dictating into our phones or laptops on a daily basis gives us the opportunity to write love letters to ourselves. Putting a side 5 – 10 minutes in the morning or at night when the house is quiet allows us to tune inwards and get out of our heads and hearts onto ‘paper’ those hopes and dreams that whisper to us in low hush tones during the waking day.

There is something to be said about the head-to-hand-to-paper connection helping you to manifest your wants and goals as part of the law of attraction. What would you want your personal and family life to look like? Where would you live? How do you want to spend your time? How would you love to work? Get the jist? Don’t put any limitations on what you want or even think about how you are going to achieve it . Just envision, dream and write with no limits. Be your own best valentine and write love letters to and for yourself to create your life.
