Happy International Women’s Day!

Today is International Women’s Day! The calendar date, 8th March, is one in which we celebrate female empowerment and highlight to the world the issues that are pertinent to women. This year the theme for #IWD2020 is #EachforEqual, recognising all the actions we can take as individuals to challenge stereotypes, fight prejudice and celebrate women's achievements. In short highlight the importance of gender equality.

 

While the fight goes on to close the gender pay gap, make flexible working a viable for all, implement shared parental leave as a shared reality for men; and get more women leading and on the board of FSTE 100 companies, women are taking social and economic control of and/or their families lives through entrepreneurship.

 

In her podcast conversation with Kelly Roach on ‘Unstoppable Success Radio’ Sigrun, a master coach in helping women grow and develop online businesses talks about how important it is for women to earn, save and invest money that enables them to create wealth for financial freedom and generational wealth by setting up and growing businesses.

 

Sigrun shares my passion and belief that women can learn and be supported by other women that have gone before them in business that may be a couple of steps ahead. Her commitment to this has led her to set up a conference in Iceland (her home country) in which women entrepreneurs are supporting women entrepreneurs by sharing their practical and actionable insights on how to go from ‘idea to income’ and ‘start-up to six figures’.
